Is the teapot suitable for boiling water?
The ceramic body handles hot tea well. Pre-warm the pot with warm water before adding boiling tea to reduce thermal shock. Never place the teapot directly on a stove or open flame.
Does it have a strainer for loose tea?
The spout has a built-in screen. For fine loose leaf tea we can supply a removable stainless steel infuser as an optional OEM accessory.
Can the gold decoration be washed in a dishwasher?
Hand-washing is strongly recommended. Dishwasher detergents and high heat gradually dull metallic gold decoration. Do not microwave the teapot.
What capacity does it hold?
The standard teapot holds approximately 800ml to 1L, serving about 4 to 5 cups. Custom capacities and coordinated cup and saucer sets are available.
