Is the teapot suitable for hot tea?
Yes, the fine ceramic body handles hot liquids well. Pre-warm the pot with warm water before pouring boiling tea to reduce thermal shock. The gold-tone decoration is on the exterior and is not affected by the tea inside.
Does it include an infuser or strainer?
The standard teapot has a built-in spout screen. For loose leaf tea we can supply a removable stainless steel infuser as an optional accessory for OEM orders.
Can the teapot go in the dishwasher or microwave?
Dishwashing is not recommended because it can dull the gold-tone trim over time. Do not microwave the teapot due to the metallic decoration. Hand-wash with warm water and mild soap.
What capacity is the teapot?
The teapot holds approximately 900ml to 1.1L, enough to serve about 4 to 6 teacups. Custom capacities and matching cup and saucer sets are available for OEM programs.
